Fresh Hop Listing : 2013 Oregon Offerings

I was asked to do a listing of Fresh Hop beers for the Oregon Beer Growler - and after many emails harassing our local brewers, phone calls, text messages (props to Charlie of Sasquatch and Mike of Vertigo for tolerating me) and osmosis via the interwebs, conversations, Facebook sleuthing, and eyeballs on tap lists around town, here it is - the best Fresh Hop Beer listing I could come up with. I'll keep it updated as best I can, all additions can be left in comments! CHEERS to one of the best beer seasons in Oregon Beer Country!

You'll note that some brewers include the IBU (International Bittering Units) for their beers, and some do not - as Matt Van Wyk of Oakshire said, "since you don't measure wet alpha acids, you just throw them in." We'll have more to discuss on whether IBUs are for the birds (or chest thumping beer drinkers who love to say that high IBU beers are "better" and whether IBUs even matter...) soon - Jack Harris of Fort George has many thoughts on the topic... But in the mean time, and for more information on Fresh Hop beers, head on over to the Oregon Beer Growler, and see what Jeff Alworth of Beervana fame has to say on Fresh Hop beers in Oregon, as well.
